Hey y'all! I've created a Live Stream and Youtube account for the guild.
So here's the tutorial for Youtube! (ask me for permission to access the Youtube account)
I entrust that you guys know what Youtube is so I will skip a few steps...
How to record:
P.S. Fraps is a truely a great way to record stuff, have to pay respect to them because what I'm able to send you is a hacked version (full and free)
1. Download from www.megaupload.com/?d=LU5JRWXD
2. Install it and such
3. Go to FPS, change to hide the overlay unless you are curious of what FPS you getting atm. I recommend if you're going to post the video, please hide the overlay; unprofessional.
4. Go to movies, change your Video Capture hotkey into something that wouldn't bother with the game such as Pause, Page up/down, Home, End, etc.
Change the Video capture Settings to Full-size for maximum quality and FPS to 15~20 (custom)
(Optional) Hide mouse cursor in video
*IMPORTANT* This is not like live stream, please only record relevant footage such as boss fights and PvP battles. No need for walking around and checking the storage.
*tips* Fraps will lag for a good bit until it becomes stable. Although it lags, the video will not be corrupted or seem laggy in any way. When you are done recording remember to end it.
Rendering the video:
What I would use to render videos is Windows Movie Maker. Every PC should have it if you have Vista+.
In case you do not have it, download here:http://explore.live.com/windows-live-movie-maker
If the files are broken in little pieces, drag them all in.
P.S. watching the video in the movie maker could be laggy but the render video will not be so don't worry.
1. Make sure you have a title transition (titles can be found here..)
2. If you're good enough, please remove the loading screens between the dungeons, no one wants to wait. (with an transition)
3. Click on animation for many different styles of animation (don't pick the most annoying ones)
*IMPORTANT*
Please keep the video UNDER 10 minutes. Youtube will be unhappy if we upload more than 10 minutes without membership. Also! Save your project by clicking file and save just in case it crashes or you need to fix something! Keep the recorded files on you for a week or so because when you delete it, the project that you saved will be corrupted due to disappearance of video files.
4. When you are done, REMEMBER to check for any ERRORS by watching the whole thing from the Windows Live Movie Maker. This does not mean watch 1/2, seriously means, WATCH THE FULL THING FOR ANY ERRORS.
5. When you are sure that it is complete, click on save movie don't click share Youtube because it's still glitchy, some of the video might get cut off. Save it to your desired folder.
6. Wait for it to render, it may take a while, best to do it overnight, while you're doing homework, or something.
7. Watch and check it AGAIN. THE WHOLE THING, don't miss a single SECOND.
Uploading process:
1. Log on your account
2. Click on upload on the top
(I know it says up to 15 minutes, but under 10 would be the safety line, if it's very necessary under 14 minutes)
3. Upload video
4. During the uploading process you can change the category to gaming, change the tags, description, title, etc.
*note* please add in your character's name in the title
And you're done! congratz!
